Thank you for sharing this so honestly, Cara. Wishing you rest and healing as you care for yourself. I'm looking forward to reading more of your writing. 💛
It's crazy how much the guilt / shame can take over even when our bodies are giving us every signal to slow down. Rest can be weirdly difficult to do, but so necessary. Thank you for being brave to share as so many women can relate.
When we face testing times, they can bring unexpected blessings. It certainly doesn't feel like that when we're in it, but as you've discovered, we can learn to be kinder to our bodies (and our souls). Guilt can be such a useless emotion, too! As if you need that on top of everything else.
I hope you will embrace the moments of rest, the helping hands, and the love and support of friends and family.
This was such a gorgeous reflection, Cara! I completely and totally empathiszed with you while I read about how you'd felt guilty for "wasting" your and other's time, your money, and a trip to the ER. That would have been my exact reaction, along with feeling guilty for asking your partner to pick up some extra slack so you could rest.
Thank you for sharing this! It comes at a coincidental time for me as I'm midly under the weather this week, and asking my partner to do some extra without (or trying) feeling guilty for doing it and like my healing is an imposition.

My pleasure, Steena! Thanks for reading ❤️
thank you for this! I'm inspired to give myself a 3 day weekend...
Great! Awesome to see you here, Emily!

Mostly, I hope you feel better soon! 🌸
Thank you so much, dear Leonora!
This is beautiful, Cara. I'm so glad to hear that you are doing for you what you have so generously preached to me. It's time for you.
Thank you, Lisa 🙏🏻
